Types of Scamming
Scamming is classified as the use of lies and deception to accumulate personal gain from others or even using exploits in the system in order to manipulate trades and gain an unfair advantage.
Trade Scamming
Trade scamming is the act of convincing another player to trade without using the /trade window, which exists to specifically prevent this type of scamming and provide a sense of security when trading. This type of scamming is prohibited on GTM.
RPS Scamming
RPS or Rock-Paper-Scissors Scamming, is a type of scamming where a player backs out of a RPS wager or if they log-out/ignore you if you win the RPS and likewise the other way around. This type of scamming is prohibited on GTM and can lead to some harsh punishments.
IRL Deal Scamming
IRL or In-Real-Life Scamming is a type of scamming when a player does a purchasable rank deal and does not complete their end of the bargain, it goes both ways. Either way, it will lead to some harsh punishments as it is prohibited on GTM.
Wager Scamming
Wager scamming is when you decide upon a bet with another player in a 1v1, whether that be grounding, jetpacking, or winging. If, after the bet is decided, one player decides to back out of fulfilling it after they lost, it would be considered a scam. This kind of scamming is allowed if there is not set middleman. But with a middleman this type of scamming can lead to punishment.
Middleman Scamming
Middleman scamming includes any kind of scamming involving a so called "middleman", a person who receives and stores items and money wagered by both parties during the deal and then gives those items and money to the winning person. All types of scams that include a middleman, such as the middleman keeping the money or items or the middleman giving the stuff to someone else but the winner, is highly prohibited and will result in a punishment.
FlowerGames Scamming
"FlowerGames" is a game in which 2 players each have the same number of 5x5 grass plots on /creative1 and both players place a bonemeal in the center of each of their plots. The player who has the most flowers on their plots wins the game. Scamming in this context refers to the situation where the loser refuses to pay the winner or simply ignores them after losing.
Even if a type of Scamming is allowed, we do not encourage it by any means. One thing you should always remember, instead of scamming, you can work hard for all of the things you want to get and accomplish them fairly!This page has been seen 3,630 times.
