Discord
The GrandTheftMinecart server has its own discord! Upon joining the discord please make sure to follow all of the rules. Breaking the rules in any way, shape, or form may lead to a punishment!
Discord Verification
The main reason behind Discord Verification is that every player who has a rank in-game can have the same rank in the discord. If you do not have a rank you can still be verified and you also will be given a tag (Default) representing that you are a Verified Member!
You might be asking, "How do I do this?". Well here are the steps to become a Verified Member on the discord!
- Log onto GTM and then connect to a GTM server
- Once on a GTM server type the following command in chat: /discord verify
- After typing the command you should see this pop up in your chat.
NOTE: Do NOT share your verification code with anyone! The shown verification code above is an example and is why it has been put there.
- Follow the given steps and you should be verified on the discord! If you do not understand and are confused please refer to this Tutorial Video on how to Discord Verify!
Discord Text Channels
Each and every channel in the discord has its purpose. Please make sure to use each channel properly as misusing these channels is against the rules and is punishable!
News and Information
#announcements - This channel is used to announce things GTM related that are usually useful and important. Checking up on this channel regularly would be recommended as this is where game changing Updates are informed about to the player base.
#information - The information channel contains the discord Rules and Regulations which should be read prior to joining the discord server.
#social-media - This is where all of GTM's most recent social media posts will be located! GTM has three social media platforms which are Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
#changelog - In this channel you can find the changelogs of all the recent updates. These changelogs will give you a more detailed overview of the exact changes that came along with these updates.
Public Discussion
#welcome - The welcome channel is just used to see all discord users joining the GTM discord. It will give a little message when you join next to your discord tag but there is nothing too important happening in this channel.
#general - The general channel is and only should be used for all things that pertain to GTM. Anything other than this would be considered misusing the channel.
#offtopic - This channel is where members can talk about things that relate or do not relate to GTM.
#media - This is channel is where you would post GTM related Videos, Screenshots, Texture Packs, or any other content GTM related only!
#Ranked-Chat - If do not have any rank then you will not have access to the ranked channel. This channel is used only by ranked players to talk about anything GTM related or not. If you do have a rank but do not have your rank on the discord you will need to be Discord Verified.
#creative - this channel is for the builders to be able to share and talk about their builds and get feedback and outsides opinions on their builds
Utility Channels
#support-forum - If you are in need of any help concerning the GTM discord or the GTM server this would be the channel to ask in! A Staff Member should respond to your question swiftly and if this is not the case you may go in-game and ask your question in /help (Then your question). Please do not hesitate as the Staff Team are happy to assist you!
#reports - This channel is strictly to be used for reporting players you think are breaking the rules. To report players you must use the following format: ?report {player} {proof} {reason}
If you fail to use the report command your message will be deleted and ignored so please make sure to use the command!
NOTE: The Staff Team will not be able to view screenshots unless a link to the screenshot is provided in the {proof} section.
#bug-reports - If you have found a bug or glitch in-game or in the discord please report it here! To report a bug make sure to use the following format: ?bugreport {screenshot or video link of the bug/glitch} {A clear and concise description of the bug}
NOTE: The Staff Team will not be able to view screenshots unless a link to the screenshot is provided in the {screenshot or video link of the bug/glitch} section.
#suggestions - If you are wanting to see something implemented in GTM that you think would benefit the server please create a suggestion! This channel is strictly for creating suggestions and reacting to suggestions. To agree with a suggestion click on the GTM checkmark(✅)! To disagree click on the GTM (X). To create a suggestion you need to click on the blue button and fill out the format that pops up.

#gtm-marketplace - In this channel you can create an offer for all your items, houses etc with a post. You can also bid prices for any other offer from other players in that channel.
#gtm-recruitment - In this channel you can create a post for a gang recruitment, that other players can fill out a format and join your gang if you accept the format from the player.
#commands - The commands channel is to be used for numerous discord Bot commands. Any other use of the channel would be considered misuse.
Community Meeting
#community-input - This channel is where the Senior Team asks for the GTM communities opinion on certain topics. To vote on these topics, react with the GTM checkmark (✅) or the GTM disagree (X) unless already given a Reaction to react with.
#community-meeting - This channel during a Community Meeting which happens now and then will be unlocked and be used by the Community to talk about GTM or non-GTM related topics (unless said otherwise by the Senior Team) and their answers to the questions asked during the Meeting.
Community Meeting Voice Channel - This voice channel is used to hear what the Senior Team has to say about certain topics and where you will hear the questions asked by the Senior Team to the Community. All players will be muted during this time so the Senior Team will be able to ask their questions and discuss topics without having to deal with everyone talking at once which would disrupt the Community Meeting.
#custom-channel-commands - This channel is below all of the text and voice channels. The channel is used to create your own Custom Voice Channel! In order to use this channel you must be rank, VIP+. For a list of the commands do /channel in the text channel for it to appear. How to create a channel and the command to do so is also listed there!
NOTE: You must keep all channel names appropriate or you will be banned from the discord server without warning.
Community Events
#event-announcement - In this channel staff announce upcomming events and giveaway's.
In order to see this channel you need to be verrified.
#event-information - In this channel you will find all rules and guidelines for upcomming events.
In order to see this channel you need to be verrified.
#event-signups - In this channel you can sign up for upcomming events.
In order to see this channel you need to be verrified.
#house-auctions - In this channel you can find house auctions hosted by the staff team.
In order to bid on houses you need to be veriffied.
Discord Voice Channels
AFK - This channel is to be used if you are going AFK. You will not be able to talk in this channel as you will be muted. Playing either of the Music Bots in this channel would be considered misusing the channel.
MineSantos - This channel should be used for players who are online the MineSantos GTM server but as long as you are in the channel and are talking about GTM-related topics you are allowed to be in there. You are allowed to use the Music Bots in this channel!
The primary language of MineSantos is English and most people you may find in the call speak English as well. If you speak English you are not subjected to this call but it is there to find other people who may speak the same language as you and play on the same GTM server as you!Creative - This channel should be used for players who are online the Creative GTM server but as long as you are in the channel and are talking about GTM-related topics you are allowed to be in there. You are allowed to use the Music Bots in this channel!
There is no primary language for the Creative GTM server but the call is there to find other players who may be online the Creative server as well!Ranked Voice - This channel may be used and seen only by Ranked players. In this channel you may talk about things GTM-related or non-GTM related. You are allowed to use the Music Bots in this channel!
Support Wait Room - This channel is where you will wait to be moved to a Support Channel by a Staff Member. If you have been waiting for a substantial amount of time, feel free to go in-game and ask in /help saying that you are in the Support Wait Room and are in need of help.
