Cosmetics are used to change the look and effects of your character. With these Cosmetics you can change many things on your character and add new effects such as: Blood Effects, Death Effects, Ground Trails, Weapon Skins, Balloons, Dj Music, Body Modifications, and Mounts! To get these Cosmetics you can do multiple things these include:
Buying them from the cosmetic menu for gold:

Throwing Wishing Coins into the Wishing Well for a chance to get a random cosmetic

(Note: that some cosmetics are only unlockable with certain ranks, during certain events, and all legendary cosmetics are only unlockable through the wishing well)
