So basically there is a new resource pack in GTM and the katanas look was changed too. I and a lot of people think that the katanas new look is really ugly. I have also seen quite a few people using the old resource pack. The old katana looked way better than the new one, and I think that the katanas look should be changed back to how it looked in the old resource pack. But I really like the knifes new look, it looks better than the old one in my opinion. And also all of the items are really small now which I and a few other people find strange. I also don't really like that you now hold the minigun with one hand, the minigun looks dope, but you only hold it with one hand and that is a little weird. Back to the katana, you barely see it in your inventory and it's similar to the musket. The katana looks weird, it's blade is small too. I'm not hating the developers or anything, I actually really appreciate their work, but I don't really like the new resource pack.
As you said I would like the katana to be bigger because you can get confused which when you are selling items you could accidentally sell it(Rip My Katana) but I do really like the black blade it looks awesome when you fight with it.
The pack looks like this so that they have the ability to do some really cool stuff, as for the katana it is being redone because of the feedback it received

I'm glad that the Katana will b changed. But overall, if I were to choose the older RP or the new RP, I would choose the older. The Gusens, RPGs, Nets, Shotguns, Grenade Launchers, (and most other items) look worse. That's just my brutally honest opinion. It's a worse RP. I know some disagree, but that's just me. I hope some of these items will be reverted or "upgraded" to look more realistic and/or badass like they were before. But I'm REALLY glad they're starting (hopefully not ending by ONLY updating) the Katana.
We understand that they don’t look as good as they used to but that is so the devs can do something pretty cool later on.
