As the title suggests, Tokens and /tokenshop are both being removed from GTM. Back in Patch 1.3.0, the voteshop was actually introduced with the intent to eventually phase out the tokenshop and tokens in general. Tokens were first introduced to GTM several years ago now. At the time, tokens were used to purchase cosmetics and pets. However, after the removal of these cosmetics, tokens have become less and less useful and we believe now it is time to completely get rid of them. Starting tomorrow with the next restart, Tokens will be completely removed from all Crowbar Crates, and /rewards. This means you will no longer be able to win tokens in crates, nor claim any tokens in your daily and monthly rewards. Finally, if you have unspent tokens, note, you will still be able to access /tokenshop until October 15! After, October 15, if you have any unspent tokens, all your tokens will be converted into money using an undecided conversion rate. With that said, we encourage players to use any tokens they still have left before they are removed! ***Please leave any comments, questions, and feedback below. I am already getting a lot of questions about what other ways will there be to obtain permits. Permits can still be obtained through: - Crates - https://store.grandtheftmc.net - /voteshop Please note that /voteshop cycles through different rewards and with some of those rewards you will still be able to obtain permits for free.
For now, tokens are removed from monthly rewards leaving only Money and Net launchers. We may add something else in the future.
ok well the tokens was a nice perk to the ranks and i think a lot of people in the community will be upset about that but your the managers. If you do take out the tokens i think you should atleast add somthing els to our monthly reward
I wanted to ask that too, especially for high ranked players (godfather and up) since items are not worth much since money is nothing extremely important anymore
Voteshop will be cycled a LOT more often were just making a few changes (and thats why it hasnt been cycled recently)
Yeah because then it will make vote tokens something you might want to save in hopes of good items in the vote shop. and also dont add vote tokens to the store.grandtheftmc.net because that would ruin it, but keep crowbars and add the possibility of getting vote tokens from crates, while not letting them be something that you can get a lot of without voting, to keep people voting
Sorry that I must say this but it’s fucking shit I bought supreme for 200$ and one of the important things were the token and now you steal them that’s so fucking stupid.
as Skylix said: you will still be able to spend your tokens until oct 15. Also you will get in game money for your tokens that are remaining after that date.
Maybe this seems like a crazy idea, but maybe reverting back to how it was and just rotating the tokenshop instead may work
The tokenshop plugin was too old to have this done, as a result /voteshop was added in. This can be rotated and will have new items and rewards to buy.
