Helllloooo friends! Here are the patch notes for the recent Patch 1.6.2! Although there was no "game-changing" content added this time around, Patch 1.6.2 was still an important and medium-sized patch from a development perspective. We performed a major developmental overhaul to our plugins significantly increasing performance and reducing lag, updated GTM to support MC 1.16.4, fixed a major black market duplication bug, added TASTY new food, plus a bunch of other improvements, bug fixes, and cool stuff! So lets get on with it . As you may or may not have noticed, the spawn is no longer centered around 0,0. In fact, spawn was moved out of its own separate dimension and is now in the same world as the PvP world. This change has bought about huge performance boosts to the server. According to some profiles, we have reduced the duration and quantity of lag spikes on GTM by around 20-30% from just this one change! Moreover, with this new same-world spawn setup, we have also managed to reduce the "Teleport Lag" associated with spawn teleports especially for lower-end computers! Here is a demonstration: Coding for this change required a huge rework of our spawn-system in the codebase. And although the QA-team did extensive testing to ensure that the spawn is fully functional, it is possible that we missed something and a few spawn behaviors are broken or working incorrectly. If you find any bugs, please report them immediately via /help or through our /discord! Our friend Ben—the owner of the Cluckin' Bell food shop at spawn—was starting to think that players had started to get bored of the same old burgers. Plus as a result of the pandemic, Benjamin Baker's food shop had taken a massive hit. So to make up for this, he added new food items to the menu and as well as updated old ones! All foods have now been updated to have 3D models. In addition to that, the Carrot food item was replaced by Sushi. And the Fried Chicken food item is now French Fries. If you had any of these old food items, clicking them will convert them into these new food items! Please note that if you had manually downloaded the GTM to your resource packs folder, you may want to update the resource pack to the current version by using the command /RP in-game to download the latest pack! The latest food items are as follows. Burrito: * Hunger: 5 * Saturation: 6 Burger: * Hunger: 8 * Saturation: 12.8 Chocolate Chip Cookie: * Hunger: 2 * Saturation: 0.4 French Fries: * Hunger: 6 * Saturation: 7.2 Sushi: * Hunger: 3 * Saturation: 3.6 Pie: * Hunger: 8 * Saturation: 4.8 Poptart: * Hunger: 6 * Saturation: 11 Pizza: * Hunger: 8 * Saturation: 12.8 Bacon: * Hunger: 6 * Saturation: 11 With a previous patch fixing a bug where wanted levels were not saved after relogging, we realized we accidentally gave Cop mode a decent buff! This patch, we tried to balance back cop mode in accordance with the concerns MANY of your made on our suggestions channel in /discord (you can make a suggestion too!). With that in mind, wanted levels will now "decay" or go down over time similar to GTA V. Every 5 minutes, the kill counter that determines the wanted level will go down by 1 kill given the following conditions: - The wanted player does not kill another player. - The wanted player does not attack a cop. Assuming these conditions are followed, the wanted level for each of the Wanted Stars are listed below: 1-star: 5 min 2-star: 10 min 3-star: 20 min 4-star: 50 min 5-star: 120 min If waiting for your wanted level to decay away isn't your style, then GTM now has its very own version of Lester! Introducing Minesantos PD's very own Warden! The Warden NPC can be found at the police station at spawn. If accessed in "Criminal" job mode (which is the regular job mod), the Warden NPC will now allow you to remove your wanted levels... for a cost. The price calculations to remove your wanted stars are as follows: 5-Star -> 4-Star: 240k 4-Star -> 3-Star: 150k 3-Star -> 2-Star: 100k 2-Star -> 1-Star: 65k 1-Star -> 0-Star: 35k If you try and access the Warden NPC in Cop Mode, the NPC will open a list of all prisoners, allowing jobs to release prisoners they arrested. Please note that the Warden NPC can ONLY be accessed from spawn! First of all, as I am sure everyone will be happy to hear, the Black Market has been re-enabled! Over the past few weeks, Black Market has been disabled as a result of a duplication glitch. We would like to give @JJ_american a huge thanks for his role helping report this glitch before things got out of hand...! The Black Market dupe is now patched. However, during this time, we also noticed that some of our smarter, yet naughty players had also been using the Black Market to store hundreds of millions of dollars to avoid the IRS (bank updates ). So this patch, we took the time to patch several methods of abusing Black Market. Notable changes include: - You can no longer buy / sell items in the Black Market if you have reached the Bank Cap. - Black Market will now auto claim items every login, or every sale, or everytime a player warps to spawn. The auto claim function does NOT auto claim your items in the warzone, so your stuff will be safe . - The /blackMarket (/bm) cheatcode can no longer be used in combat. Finally, the last major change made to the Black Market is that we patched a major bug where items bought from the Black Market, could not be resold. This was as a result of glitched NBT tags where the Black Market added extra "tags" to an item making them unrecognizable when later sold. If you still have any "glitched" items from before that still can not be sold in the Black Market, please ask an admin to replace them for you. - We have updated the Crowbar Crates on GTM! The crates have all kinds of new rewards, rebalances, and new tags. Oh, yes the new tags... we know how much you love those! - To punish the mofos abusing black market, bank caps are now more expensive 250k to 300k. Ha! Enjoy! - Fixed muted players not being able to add people to their houses (because they couldn't write the name of the player they wanted to add in chat). This fix also fixed other chat feedbacks systems including bank transfer, Santa naughty list, and more. - Fixed the symbol for LSD and MDMA being switched up in the casino slot machines. - The cop arrest reward which is gained from confiscating player money will now have a 20% tax in order to prevent tax evasion (bank upgrade evasion) as well as act as an additional money sink. - Fixed a rare error message involving /spank. - On rare occasions, when loading in, players could get glitched inside the ground. In this patch, we attempted to fix that. However, since the issue is rare and random, we can not confirm if it is fixed so if you have this issue, please report it in /help or in our /discord. - Patched players being able to use Santas nice list inside houses (for the upcoming Xmas event)! - Fixed casino spamming titles as a result of a queueing system stacking the titles. - Melee-ing stun guns will no longer cause a jetpack to disable. You will now have to actually *shoot* the jetpacker. This fixes an issue with players in hydras being able to disable their jetpacks by punching them. - Small nerf of stun guns: Stun guns take 0.25 seconds more to reload and shoot 4 blocks less further. - Fixed issues with players being able to teleport above the map through /tpa especially when teleporting to a player flying in a Jetpack. This fix also fixes other incorrect teleportation issues. - Fixed some formatting issues with the /bribe message. - Fixed a player's tag (or wanted level) not updating after they have been arrested. - Fixed a bug where the witness achievement would not always credit to everyone. - The /stats command will now show the maximum Bank Cap for the target player. - Physical paper money items will now automatically be converted to money when clicked. - Players will no longer continue to receive drug effects after being arrested. - Minor server-side performance improvement to the Jetpack fuel ticking logic which also improves lag. - Fixed hub blocks randomly breaking themselves every so often on restarts (looking like it has been griefed). - Fixed /tutorial on GTM7 still being at the old GTM7 spawn. - Added MC 1.16.3/4 support to GTM. - Fixed lots of other internal console / server-side errors as well as improved utility methods in the codebase.
