What's up folks. Here are the long-overdue Patch 1.6.0 patch notes! Following the 1.6.0 patch, we have continued to improve and fine-tune changes based on the community response. This patch will cover almost everything that was changed, fine-tuned, and added all the way from the new Leveling system, Weapons rebalances and enhancements, achievements, hub, leaderboards, discord, and more! Oh and... SALE! So without further due, let's get started! Headshots: Perhaps the most obvious of our weapon changes is the addition of headshots to the game. In response to the community requests to add more of a "skill" variant to the game, we decided to add headshots to all ranged weapons such as pistols, SMGs, rifles, snipers, shotguns, and minigun. Melee weapons and launchers do not apply extra headshot damage. Each of these ranged weapons has a headshot damage multiplier associated with it that multiply the weapon damage on hit. This multiplier can be found under the new "Headshot Modifier" stats bar. Note: Per community feedback, we slightly buffed headshots just today. Exact headshot modifiers can be found below: Spoiler: Weapon Headshot Stats SMGs: - MicroSMG: x1.15 Extra Damage - SMG: x1.175 Extra Damage - Assault SMG: x1.175 Extra Damage - Combat PDW: x1.175 Extra Damage - Gusenberg Sweeper: x1.175 Extra Damage Rifles: - Assault Rifle: x1.18 Extra Damage - Carbine Rifle: x1.18 Extra Damage - Bullpup Rifle: x1.18 Extra Damage - Advanced Rifle: x1.18 Extra Damage - Carbine Rifle: x1.18 Extra Damage Shotguns: - Sawed-off Shotgun: x1.1 Extra Damage - Pump Shotgun: x1.15 Extra Damage - Musket: x1.175 Extra Damage - Assault Shotgun: x1.1 Extra Damage - Heavy Shotgun: x1.1 Extra Damage MGs: - MG: x1.25 Extra Damage - Combat MG: x1.25 Extra Damage Pistols: - Pistol: x1.25 Extra Damage - Stungun: x1.0 Extra Damage - Combat Pistol: x1.25 Extra Damage - Heavy Pistol: x1.2 Extra Damage - Marksmen Pistol: x1.4 Extra Damage Snipers: - Sniper Rifle: x1.375 Extra Damage - Heavy Sniper: x1.275 Extra Damage Minigun: - Minigun: x1.075 Extra Damage - Golden Minigun: x1.075 Extra Damage The headshot hitbox is roughly the top 75% of the "head" area on the player's hitbox as shown above. Weapon "Weight": As you may already know, on holding most weapons, you receive a small slowness effect. This patch, we added this speed slowness modifier to the weapons stats bar as "Weight". Moreover, the weapon "weight" will now also affect players flying in Jetpack. One notable balance we made by applying weapon "weight" to jetpackers is that players using a Jetpack will now receive a noticeable slowness while wielding a Heavy pistol (cuz well its a HEAVY pistol budmptss) adding a much-requested clever nerf to the weapon! Other "weight" changes are as follows: Spoiler: Weapon Weight Stats SMGs: - MicroSMG: 90% Speed - SMG: 90% Speed - Assault SMG: 90% Speed - Combat PDW: 90% Speed - Gusenberg Sweeper: 90% Speed Rifles: - Assault Rifle: 80% Speed - Carbine Rifle: 80% Speed - Bullpup Rifle: 80% Speed - Advanced Rifle: 80% Speed - Carbine Rifle: 80% Speed Shotguns: - Sawed-off Shotgun: 100% Speed - Pump Shotgun: 90% Speed - Musket: 70% Speed - Assault Shotgun: 70% Speed - Heavy Shotgun: 60% Speed MGs: - MG: 70% Speed - Combat MG: 70% Speed Pistols: - Pistol: 100% Speed - Stungun: 100% Speed - Combat Pistol: 100% Speed - Heavy Pistol: 77.5% Speed - Marksmen Pistol: 90% Speed - Machine Pistol: 90% Speed Snipers: - Sniper Rifle: 75% Speed - Heavy Sniper: 60% Speed Minigun: - Minigun: 70% Speed - Golden Minigun: 85% Speed Melee: - Rake: 100% Speed - Night Stick: 100% Speed - Baseball Bat: 100% Speed - Knife: 100% Speed - Chainsaw: 85% Speed - Dildo: 100% Speed - Katana: 90% Speed - Machete: 85% Speed No Scoping Accuracy: Another weapon change made was that no-scoping will now incur an accuracy penalty. Some guns were more affected by this accuracy penalty than others. But in general, guns will now be more accurate when you sneaking or "scoping" with your weapon. Other Changes: Some other classic weapon rebalances using damage, accuracy and range ranges were also made as follows: Spoiler: other changes Grenade: - Increased damage from 9 to 16 - Increased explosion delay from 1.25 seconds to 2 seconds Katana: - Increased weapon slowness Assault Rifle: - Increased damage from 2.75 to 2.8 - Slightly increased accuracy Net launcher: - Reduced net time (for ground players) from 1 second to 0.2 seconds Combat MG: - Increased scope accuracy MG: - Increased scope accuracy Heavy Pistol: - Slightly decreased damage from 6.5 to 6 - Increased weapon slowness Marksmen Pistol: - Increased damage from 10.5 to 13 Stungun: - Decreased range from 25 to 18 Musket: - Increased scope accuracy Gusenberg Sweeper: - Increased damage from 2.25 to 2.4 Heavy Sniper: - Decreased damage from 20 to 19.5 (will no longer 1-shot naked players on body shot) - Increased reload time from 4 to 5 seconds Golden minigun: - Very slightly reduced damage - Very slightly reduced accuracy - Removed weapon recoil - Decreased weapon slowness Minigun: - Very slightly reduced damage - Very slightly reduced accuracy Overall, with these changes, we hope to bring some of the "forsaken" weapons of GTM in the mainstream by making weapons more dynamic and making certain weapons better in certain conditions. Weapon changes do tend to be the most controversial as people tend to not like change. Do when providing feedback on this topic, we ask you keep a open mind and give these changes a try first!
One of the first things players noticed when they came back on GTM after this patch was that their old GTM ranks (hobo, criminal, homie...) were gone! The GTM Ranking system was replaced by a new Leveling system. This new Leveling system unlike the old ranking system is now based on actual gameplay. Since there is no cap on the max level, the Leveling system in a way can also be considered some form of a much-requested "prestige" system. I'm certain you will get all the e-girls on GTM when they see your insane level 200, or 300, or 420! Similar to the old GTM Rank system, each consecutive level will unlock a new gameplay feature like a weapon, a vehicle, or a job mode. In fact, some Level unlocks will even award a player with a trial rank! Details of what each GTM Level unlocks can be found in the Levels menu. This menu can be accessed in your Phone > My Account > Levels. You may also access this menu by typing /level. You will also be displayed what new perk your new GTM Level unlocks on every level up on the top right corner of your screen as shown here: In order to level up, a player must collect a certain amount of "XP". At this time, the following actions will earn player XP in-game in order from least XP to most XP per action: - Dying [5 xp] - Opening Loot Crates [10 xp] - Killing Other Players [100 xp] - Arresting Other Players [125 xp] - Completing Achievements [Varies] [More on achievements later...] Please note that the experience gained from killing other players or arresting them will vary depending on the level difference between the two players. In other words, when a high-level player kills a player with a much lower level than them, they will receive little to no XP. On the other hand, when a low-level player manages to kill a higher-level player, they will receive significantly more XP. Another XP variant in the game are the XP boosters. All donator rank will now provide some amount of an XP boost that will multiply the XP gained by a certain amount. At this time, the XP multipliers per rank are as follows: - VIP: Permanent 5% XP Boost - PREMIUM: Permanent 10% XP Boost - ELITE: Permanent 15% XP Boost - SPONSOR: Permanent 25% XP Boost - SUPREME: Permanent 40% XP Boost Note that these values may change in the future as we continue to balance this new Levels system with nerfs and buffs. Moreover, in the future, we also plan to add separate XP boosters that can be bought in the store! These XP boosters are sure to make your life easier because as you may have already noticed, leveling up actually becomes harder as you get to the higher levels at an exponential rate. The higher level you are, the more experience will be required for you to level up to the next rank. Progress to the next level will be displayed on the scoreboard on right and on your XP bar in-game as shown below: Finally, for those of you still wondering "what happened to my old GTM Rank", then for your information, all GTM Ranks were converted to their appropriate GTM Level as follows: - Hobo: Converted to Level 0 - Criminal: Converted to Level 10 - Homie: Converted to Level 20 - Thug: Converted to Level 30 - Gangster: Converted to Level 40 - Mugger: Converted to Level 50 - Hunter: Converted to Level 60 - Dealer: Converted to Level 70 - Pimp: Converted to Level 80 - Mobster: Converted to Level 90 - Godfather: Converted to Level 100 Another one of Patch 1.6.0's game-changing features was the introduction of the new achievements system. Initially, we have introduced two types of achievements. The first type is the "one and done", single-level achievement. Single level achievements each assign you a simple task that you have to complete in order to get the achievement rewards. The second achievement type is the progressive, multi-level achievement type where you slowly work towards a goal. Each "level" of the multi-level achievement will all award you with new rewards. For example, if the first level of the achievement says to get 50 kills, and the second to get 100 kills, you will receive rewards both at 50 kills and at 100 kills. Talking of rewards, each achievement will award with some amount and combination of XP, items, money, crowbars, and more. The harder multi-level achievements tend to have a higher reward than their easier "one and done", single-level counterparts. Shown below is an example of each type of these achievement. Completing achievements is one of the easiest ways to get experience and level up so it is really worth doing! All achievements and their details can be accessed in the achievement menu. You can find the achievement menu in your Phone > Achievements or at the achievement NPC at spawn. Now for the part of the update which I have gotten flammed the most about ... Bank levels! With GTM Ranks replaced with Levels, an important money sink in the game was lost. Moreover, with the rampant inflation going about, it was absolutely necessary that we did something about people having billions of dollars. So, we phoned up your banks and tipped them about all your illegal money. And now, these greedy bastards at your bank want a piece of your wealth! These bank levels prevent you from transferring money to another player or storing money in your bank until you pay-off the greedy bankers a piece of your money. You can still keep your money in your "money", however as you probably already know, you lose half of your money (for up to 50k) that is not in your bank every time you die in the warzone. At this time, the bank upgrades cost is 25k per upgrade to store an additional one million with each consecutive upgrade costing an additional 25k for up to 250k per bank upgrade. Here is what that looks like: 1st Bank upgrade: $25k to store 11 million in total. 2nd Bank upgrade: $50k to store 12 million in total. 3rd Bank upgrade: $75k to store 13 million in total. 4th Bank upgrade: $100k to store 14 million in total. ... 10th Bank upgrade: $250k to store 20 million in total. 11th Bank upgrade: $250k to store 21 million in total. 12th Bank upgrade: $250k to store 22 million in total. ...and so on. Huge shout out to the GTM Build Team on this one: Presenting the new GTM Hub! Other hub changes: - A new Elytra Course [HARD!] - The elytra course now has a ranked leader board - Smexy new portal effects - Tokens were finally removed from the hub - Players now also have a speed effect in the hub - New indicators to help newbies to figure out how to get out of hub Talking of that Ranked Elytra Course leaderboard, GTM has added server leaderboards to each server. Of course on the hub we have the Elytra course leaderboard ranking the top 3 fastest parkour completion. However, then we also have the Top killer and top levels leaderboard for each server! Hub Elytra Leaderboard: P.S. click me a bit of shameless bragging (even though thats what the leaderboards are for..) Minesantos Leaderboard: Sanktburg Leaderboard: New Mineport Leaderboard: We hope to make GTM more fun and competitive with the addition of these leaderboards. We believe adding these leaderboards will extend gameplay for our older players giving them a goal to attain and a leaderboard to brag about and get dem e-girls with,, jk but not rlly.
We have bought about some improvements to GTM outside our Minecraft platform as well! It is now possible to link your GTM Account to the discord using the /discord verify command. Linking your GTM rank will now sync your GTM rank to the discord. This applies even if you upgrade your donor rank or etc. We will now update all that on our end saving you the trouble of the old #rank-request system. With the old verification system replaced, we have reset all donator roles on the GTM discord hence requiring players to verify their accounts with GTM in order to get their donator role. The purpose of this reset is to purge the server of users who may have manipulated screenshots or used a trial rank to obtain their discord perks. After all, as I will get to in a second, GTM has begun adding fun donator perks to the discord, therefore now we would like to take the rank verification more seriously. Although the main purpose of /discord verify at this time is to sync your discord roles, in the future we intend to add other cool features with this new verification system. So, even if you are not a donator, we strongly recommend you have your discord rank linked and verified using the /discord verify command. Expanding on the discord improvements, we have added Custom channels to the GTM discord. All users that are VIP+ are now able to use the /channel commands in order to create and manage their own personal channels right within the server discord! Find out more in the #channel-commands channel on our discord! - Made the GTM Scoreboard smaller so it is less blocking/obtrusive to players. Moreover the leaderboard now also shows other features such as your gang! - It is now possible to quickly by lots of ammo by SHIFT RIGHT CLICKING the weapons which you want ammo for. No more breaking your fingers. Yay! - Added prevention methods against kill farming. If a player is now detected unfairly farming kills, their kills will be adjusted and they will receive other penalties such as an XP reset. - Fixed issues with loot crate holograms rarely not working properly. - Redid the kits menu to better work with the new leveling system. Smexy. (Note: Unclaimed kits are shiny to let you know you can claim them!) - Gang chat is now yellow so you can easily tell apart global chat from gang chat. - Premium Houses will now automatically be forcesold after 45 days. We are no longer force selling houses after just 30 days. - Updated the resource pack. - Slightly optimized server performance slightly reducing lag. - Added a queue system to titles to make sure we don't override a title with another (Titles are the giant text you see in the center of the screen). - The tab is now ordered by rank! The old server names (GTM1, GTM4..) were also replaced by the new Server names (GTM Minesantos, Sanktburg and New Mineport) - Fixed ammo spawning in loot crates in item form - Attempted to fix a bug where NPCs could be knocked away from their spot (especially on New Mineport) - Cocaine and bongs (that are not inside a premium house) will now automatically be removed after 15 minutes to prevent abuse by mass placement. - Fixed a bug where it was possible to view the chest contents of a premium house you were not added to. - Made glitching into houses harder. - Fixed a minor dupe bug that allowed people to dupe 0.5$ at a time due to rounding issues. - Fixed a bug where cops were not able to stun Jetpackers in hitman mode. - Arresting will now put cops in combat. - Fixed cops being able to hurt non-wanted players with a flamethower. - Fixed the Cracked tag being called lCracked. - Fixed a bug that prevented players from unignoring ignored staff. Phew... We are finally through the patch notes! Oh right, SALE! I would like to announce a 20% summer sale across all packages in our store! This sale will last through July, ending in 2 weeks on August 1st. HOWEVER, during the first 3 days of this sale, from now until Monday at 11:59 PM EST, we have boosted the sale to a whopping 30%! It’s one of the best and biggest patch. First of all I didn’t like the bank upgrade but after Sky explained it, I understood why it isn’t that bad. The rest of this patch is also grate. Good Job Sky.
