I think that in order to make a memorable building, it needs to have a unique story. Something that even though the building may not look special, ultimately makes it so because of the journey it has been through. A few uncounted years ago, I built the shell of what was going to be a brewery in the Victorian architectural style seen throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, but because of education, it was forced to collect dust. Once regaining my free time, I revisited the old shell and decided that it was to serve an entirely different purpose, one hopefully more interesting. The story I built the remainder of the structure around goes as follows: once, in Gilded Age New York, there was a successful brewery that operated out of the building. Good times would not last, however, as once alcohol was banned due to the American Prohibition, it went out of business, the building then trading hands several times and getting more and more dilapidated until it was once again put on the market. In the late 2000s, as the building was about to be demolished after failing to be bought, a wealthy New York socialite decided to purchase the grounds and completely remodeled the inside, tearing down walls and putting up new ones to turn the building into housing on the upper two levels while renting space on floor one to an architecture firm. Now that the context for the building has been explained, here is a picture-tour going through notable spaces and two of my favorite suites that I designed, with extras at the end: The main tour: * street view http://prnt.sc/scuuxr * entrance http://prnt.sc/scuv6c * garage http://prnt.sc/scuvdd * lobby http://prnt.sc/scuvl7 * architecture firm http://prnt.sc/scuvuc * architecture firm office http://prnt.sc/scuw18 * architecture firm computer lab http://prnt.sc/scuw7w * level three appartment lounge http://prnt.sc/scux6p Suite 22: * corridor http://prnt.sc/scuydb * bedroom http://prnt.sc/scuz2r * bathroomhttp://prnt.sc/scuz9d * family room and kitchen http://prnt.sc/scuzfa Suite 24: * corridor http://prnt.sc/scv06h * bedroom http://prnt.sc/scv0do * bathroom http://prnt.sc/scv0j1 * family room and kitchen http://prnt.sc/scv0q1 Extras: * front view http://prnt.sc/scv3ev * rear view http://prnt.sc/scv1ov * hello! http://prnt.sc/scv3jj Thank you for your time.
