At this point, everyone knows about this glitch. It's public. And again, as you probably already know, it will one-shot you completely ignoring any armor you have.

So what have we done about it? Apart from the rule that, if staff happens to be online, can kick the glitcher... nothing.

This is exactly what this post is about. I understand that fixing this glitch is high on the priority list. But at this point, it has gotten out of hand. From the regular players who were abusing the glitch, we now got homing hackers.

Recording these hackers? Nearly impossible for the regular player. He is already dead in one-shot, and so there is nothing to record.

I know many constant abusers of this glitch, who have been kicked numerous times. But to them, who cares. Just hit the connect button again, and start abusing until someone else reports. Or better yet, wait till staff goes offline, then abuse without fear.

Us regular players can't do crap... When we record, and report, the worst that happens to the player is a random kick, or just a warning. We are helpless. What are we even expected to do? Drop down to the glitchers level and also abuse?

My point? There needs to be a serious punishment for abusing this glitch. Enough warnings have been given. Enough kicks have been made. Until this glitch is fixed, it's time for bans. We are all tired of losing, are rightfully earned loot, to these cheating glitchers.

Why are we even being so nice to these glitchers. What they are doing is still a form of cheating. To me at least, they are no better than hackers. A glitcher cheats by abusing bugs in the server. A hacker hacks by abuses bugs in minecraft. No difference.

[OK I know it gets cringy from here, and it's hard to take me seriously, but what I am trying to get across is serious.]

I SkylixMC, on behalf of all the players of GTM, exercise my constitutional rights, by petitioning the Government of Grand Theft Minecraft. I, as a loyal citizen of the great sovereign state of GTM, demand the embedment of serious laws against the Homing Glitch. I demand justice to all those who have protected their dignity, by the avoidance of this immoral glitch. I demand those whispers of penalizing be turned to the roaring of /bans. I SkylixMC, with the support of my fellow GTM-ers petition this Government!

Oh God... I think I could have gotten my point across with less cringe... Oh well. At least my arguments are serious and legit.

The green part was cringe tbh, totally not necessary but sure I guess you got your point across. btw there is no 'Government of GTM'. And tbh the staff could give a crap about a petition. They were already in the process of fixing this glitch to better the player experience.

I am aware they are in the process of fixing it. But I am pretty sure that this glitch is hard-coded, and can take a while to fix. All I requested was a serious punishment be implanted until it as fixed. We are sick and tired of all the abuse. So you should sign the petition too :).

And technically, there is a Government of GTM. A government is a body responsible for conduct the policy, actions, and affairs of (a state, organization, or people). Pretty sure that's the staff team :p.

An Administrative team is a governing body not a formal socioeconomic government. Your use of diction and vocabulary does not make you sound smarter. Obviously this glitch is not in hard code if they are trying to fix it. They can always remove the whole Homing Launcher in itself. Therefore this component is not 'hard-coded'. Punishments cannot be 'implanted' either a better use of word would be 'implemented'.

Listen, we can pointless argue about word choice and technicalities forever. This post is about the lack of punishments against the glitch, and a push for a fix. So if you don't have anything that relates to the topic. Don't say it.

Also, By hardcoded, I mean hard coded into the actual code of the homing, and part of what makes it work. I am not talking about the GTM guns plugin as a whole.

^ Wow grammar police, nobody cares

We are all aware of the glitch and how annoying it is (believe me, we know better than anyone how annoying it is) and it is on the devs' list of things to fix. I am not entirely sure how progress with patching it is going, but it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Still don't you think that while the devs are on it, there should be more strict-er rules against these glitchers. It would make the game a better experience for all with the fear of a ban stopping people.

@SkylixMC it is a glitch that is high up on our list of things that need to be fixed. It was said once and I'll say it again, it's not a bug where it's an easy fix. The bug actually take time and it's not an easy one... Please be patient we work as hard as we can and our dev team as well.

I've actually been looking at the glitch for a while, and it doesn't ALWAYS one shot, it's random, however depending on the armour, I noticed that it has more chance to one shot, or less chance.

I do significantly believe it has to do with armour combinations, however I cannot be 100% sure unless someone is willing to have their k/d ruined.

Here is what I have found (not 100% accurate, so don't quote me):
    • Jetpackers, no matter what armour, will be 1 shot
    • Wingsuiters, no matter what armour, will NOT be 1 shot.
    • Naked people will be 1 shot
    • People in titanium armour (excluding pants and shirts) will be 1 shot
    • People in titanium armour, with pants and shirts will NOT be 1 shot
These are the main armour types, and what I have found. These may be all wrong, however this is what I have found. If they are wrong, feel free to correct me.

Also if someone wants to test it with me on gtm5, and have their KD ruined, feel free to PM me.

Once again hard coding is not implemented into the 'homing launcher itself' punishment should not exceed what it already is. Homing is a kick then repeat offenses have more serious penalties.

The glitch is absolutely ridiculous. Countless times I've been in full top-notch armor, have had so many items worth multiple thousands of dollars, and have also had thousands of dollars in hand from killing people. Then, in an instant, I die and lose more than $50,000 in-game money. I also travel by car a lot, and I jump out to get items, and then I die and my car is stolen. And, not to mention, it's a false scar on your KDR that can't be fixed. I ask a staff: "Is there anything you can do about bringing my FALSELY stolen car back to me and returning my FALSELY stolen items to me?" They say no. So most staff are useless when it comes to this.
And I am not online like some others are. And I'm extremely pissed! So I know I'm not alone.
Homings are doing more harm than damage at this point. Homings should be taken away until this has been patched.

The glitch is that when you use a homing launcher armor is totally ignored. You can 1 shot people and it's just over powered. But don't worry. I'm sure this is on the top of the staff's priority list and will be fixed soon if it isn't being fixed now.

Thanks for the input over this glitch. One thing to note is that by banning players for using this glitch, we are offering a temporary solution to this issue, but it will not solve it completely, and it won't stop people from using it. As said before, this glitch doesn't always one shot players, and it is basically like using a katana or a heavy sniper for meele except that it is actually worse than those (heavy snipers and katanas can 1 shot regardless of armors, plus katanas give the chance for a head drop). We are working on a permanent solution to this issue that would completely stop people from abusing. Yes, punishment might be a little lax for this issue, but I personally think that banning people right off of the bat is a little extreme and hastful.

Thanks for calling us useless it's very appreciated! We work as hard as we can and as we say to all players "we don't do givebacks" which is correct and we have been working or butts of to fix glitches and to make the community to enjoy the server and enjoy the gamemode. And again this was said in a past thread: we were chosen out of hundreds of players and they chose to promote us so if you have something against a staff member you can always pm them and speak to them about the situation but complaining because we said we couldn't give your items back or take the drag from kd is not our fault.. maybe in a beginning you should have looked around. I understand that some players do tend to abuse this glitch but again we are working our butts of on fixing glitches like this including this one.

And @SkylixMC thanks for giving your opinion on how the glitch works but to be exact it's a complete random chance depending on the speed and he angle of the hit that makes it a higher/lower chance to 1 shot but it does tend to include the armour but it acts on a much minor scale.
