Bug (Vice): Brewingstands broken

This bug actually is for weeks now.

0. On what server?
Vice1

1. What did you do just before this bug happened?
I made a brewingstand, put blaze powder, glas bottles and potatoes into it, to make wodka

2. What should have happened?
The brewingstand should start brewing wodka

3. What happened instead?
Litterary nothing happens

This is the same for everyone playing vice. Any wodka or beer farm has become useless

 

We're currently in the process of fixing this, but it's a big job. Aiming ideally for next big update, but no promises.

 

Ok thanks, I guess we just have to wait then. Just wondering, when about is that big update set to happen? The broken brewingstands are keeping people away and makes it confusing for new people, so I hope its not taking to long, it's not good for vice and its player base

 

It'll be ready when it is, but hopefully that'll be sometime over next weekend.

Just wanted to tell, because according to the announcement it seems like the developers think it has been fixed.

That it is broken can be confirmed by everyone on vice. it's not an individual issue. This is really pitty because it kind of ruins the experience for new players. Because they will start off with wodka and beer, and we every time have to tell them it doesn't work. In the mean time I'm trying to hand out poppy seeds to make the newcomers stay. But it's kind of tidious

 

Yeah, thanks for bringing this up. Brewing stands are still broken and as Micatchu said, really does affect the newcomers. Please solve this issue as quickly as possible.

 

Have you tried waiting for them to start back up again? We do the check every so often, so sometimes they can remain un-active for a minute or two after you get near them before starting up again.

 

yeah, I believe I have tried everything. waiting, removing stuff and put it back (bottles, potatoes etc). breaking and building new brewingstands. Next to that everyones that tries it says its broken. There is not 1 person that has said: hey for me it works. And it definitely used to work. We all use to have beer and wodka farms

 

This is most weird - it worked completely fine in our testing. Will re-open the issue on our end to take another look.
