This is made in response to my suggestion being ignored. So since I want something done right, I'm gunna do it myself. I am in no way happy to be doing this nor am I gaining anything from it. ProMc, I hope this makes your day a little better. Hi! My name is IzzyGama. I'm spew facts and logic at you. In this post I will cover: Everything good and bad that's been done in 2021 Some stuff about player counts suffering ^ Venting my frustrations on GTM ^ Let's start with... Everything GOOD that has come out of this year: New maps! The build team worked their ass off building some amazing new parts of the map; especially with the halloween map, good job guys. Events stuff! There were some new event tags for valentines day and bloody bones on halloween. New host! As of writing this, GTM is getting a new host and as of the end of this month GTM will no longer be hosted on a baked potato with some glue and duct tape on it, yay! EULA changes! GTM has complied with Mojang's terms of server and sorta stopped it's "P2W" stuff as well as made the game a tiny bit more family friendly. Drugs got disabled! It took a lot of begging and a suggestion with 80ish upvotes but we finally shut down the mething meta. Cyborg_! Senior admin wasn't a thing until Cyborg_ came in and demonstrated what a really good staff team member works like. Thank you Cyborg_! Patches & balance! Through the pure spammed inbox that is #suggestions & #bug-reports we had a voice in GTM and could quite literally help change the world. With all that good stuff you might be starting to think to yourself "oh so GTM does get a lot of updates" and you'd be wrong as hell. Keep in mind that all of that was the ONLY good that came out of this year and that was only a list of 7. Now then, onto the BAD stuff from this year: There's no better place to start than the dying playerbase. Back only last year we peaked at around 500 or so players on and there were always players on during later hours. Now we can't even get more than 150ish players online at best and as low as around 2 people online during late hours. Staff not communicating with the community wasn't an issue until this year. We used to be talked to like people. Now we are often ignored, our suggestions sometimes entirely skipped, what used to be a thriving discord is now a husk of it's former self. Remember: a community is NOTHING without it's people!!! ItsDeo resigning was writing on the walls for this entire year. A pillar of the community leaving has never meant good things. It was so tragic! Jk lol no one cares (although I will miss your events). SkylixMC focusing on real life is a good thing for him and a bad thing for GTM. I'm tryna say that he took an awful show that noone talked about and made it into a 5 star film and we need you back. No major updates all year. That's a good portion of why I'm writing this wall of text that noone wants to read. Please, please, please; bring our playerbase and some new content. I know I'm asking for a lot but it doesn't take a year to even acknowledge that request. Caesar didn't get recognized at emperor of Rome by sitting around and doing nothing all day, he talked to people, he went and got stuff done, he showed his power through getting gud and making Rome a better place in the process.
