So I'm gonna be small and simple with this change I would suggest for Vice. It's not much of a gameplay change, it's more like a visual change for the particles of the machines in ViceMC. I also made a suggestion in the GTM discord in the suggestions tab. However, I have made a more clarified explanation below of my suggestion just in case or solely for reference. So here it is. What is your suggestion? Change the particles for broken or 0% durability machines in ViceMC to be black dust or gray dust. For example, when the machines have nothing in them, they emit a red dust particle on top. When the machine has a fuel source but no material input, they emit a orange dust particle on top; and when they are processing they emit a green dust particle on top. Currently, when machines are broken or have zero durability, they emit angry villager particles on top. However, unlike the colored dust particles, angry villager particles cannot be toggled on and off visually from the player's video settings. So why suggest this/work on this? So like I said above, currently in ViceMC, the particles for broken or 0% durability machines are angry villager particles. Since these particles are strictly classified as certain mob particles, they cannot be toggled by Optifine nor vanilla Minecraft video settings to not appear to players who want to reduce lag when doing machine breaking or selling. As a result, the particles remain even if all particles are turned off, which causes a LOT (and I mean A LOT.) of performance lag and fps reduction if there are many broken machines present. This becomes especially hard when players have automation consisting of 400 or more machines, cutting off fps by a substantial amount when they break at the same time, even crashing players occasionally due to high count of particles. However, particles, such as the red dust and orange dust from machines when nothing is inside, can be toggled on and off in video settings to substantially increase fps. My suggestion is use those same dust particles to represent broken or 0% durability machines, but make them black, dark gray or light gray so they can be turned off visually and become much more easier to sell drugs or move around without having such low FPS or performance problems.
I have just a small farm so i love the current particals however i can easily see this becoming an issue... great suggestion.
