Whenever i try to add this to the server list on MC nothing shows up and it tells me im unable to connect, i put in the server ip: mc-gtm.net what am i doing wrong?
First I would try playing in the optimal version for GTM which is 1.12.2 If that doesn't work, make sure you are not using a VPN and try restarting your network.
