**1.)** **What is your suggestion?** Bring Back The Old Miniguns. **Why do you suggest this?** I Feel that this can prevent hackers, and make GTM more money and bring more motivated players to gtm. How? - Hackers come on the server and expect to be good in a couple mins, If they keep on dieng they will quit very fast. Also Supreme would'nt be as worth it so not many people would get it. Like I said earlier hackers would quit fast, and people who actually like the aspect GTM would take the time to eventually get to GODFATHER and bring a lot of relief to the player.
The hackers could be prevented by code that checks to see if the person if flying at rigid angles despite for an extended period of time while the jetpack isn't equipped and auto kicks to keep gar but as for the other suggestion. How about instead of ruining the fun for everyone who isn't a minigunner, you add other ways to reward godfathers and donaters? Maybe you unlock access to new houses or you get cool particle effects you could win through rankup keys/lootboxes. The point is, you lower the overall quality of the game with miniguns and the only reason they exist it seems is to give godfathers and donaters a fun ruining advantage as well as completely throwing gun variety late game into the trash
Boy, do I relate. On Hypickel and KoobKraft, once in a while, a hacker comes up, that can't be detected by the anti-cheat, but GTM, has... had, the ability to stop them. The minigun is literally your anticheat across servers. My cousin came on the server and tried to cheat, and he rage quit after losing all 3 katanas I gave him to minigunners. Small problem, they are so good as anti-hacker devices, they are near OP. WRONG. As a hobo, I saw players using the minigun, and it wasn't game breaking (note this was when miniguns could kill Chuck Norris), if you had some determination, just some tear gas and a couple proxies/stickies would've done the job. Not only is it not that hard to counter, you would not believe, the determination that players get to be able to use the minigun. This increases server profits by making players consider buying a good rank. As a Godfather on GTM1 and GTM2, I want to shoutout to Sparkachu and KingCordVII for helping me to get to Godfather, and the rewards are AMAZING. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it is to test out that minigun for the first time. Despite what a lot of people say, this is very, VERY skillful PVP, if you don't believe me, then put on some armor and grab a minigun, and try to kill some of us minigunners. A couple of us have gotten really good, and it is surprising how much we can still improve. If any readers would like to learn, go to GTM2 and try to get in touch with any of the following players to teach you how to PVP (ask for an in depth explanation, and mention this thread); kyleis16, minecrashyou, moi (obvs), or HotWheelDan.
I'm genuinely curious, how are they skill based guns when they vastly out perform every other gun? and even if they are, they make every other gun obsolete so there is no weapon variety other then miniguns which dumbs gameplay down
They are skill based against eachother, and no, they don't "dumb gameplay down" by making weapons obsolete. If you want to be a complete brute against a minigun with a rifle/smg, you're going to die. By using obstacles and throwables, you give yourself an advantage. Surprising or not, miniguns aren't invincible against rifle/smgs' agility and versatility.
Yes you can use throwables with rifles and such, but so can they and you can't move from cover to cover against the old miniguns since the minigun's bullet count was so ridiculously high that it comboes you before you can move out of cover, and you can't wait out a minigun because they have increadibly larghe magazines(so they have permanent suppression fire against you) as well as being able to use throwables/rpgs to force you out of cover or kill you while you're in cover. You're cover is also obsolete in some cases as well if they bring a net launcher they can keep you stuck in place and a well aimed netlauncher is nearly impossible to dodge, and once you're in a net, the only thing you can do is brute force fire against the person who netted you and in the case of a minigun, good luck winning with brute force also, when you say "skill based against each-other" that means you admit my previous points are correct but you still want miniguns to be in the game and to that all I have to say is to repeat my points. Miniguns outspeced every other gun in the game and as such dumbed down gameplay by making them the only viable option as a primary non explosive weapon as well as making the game unfun for everyone else who isn't using a minigun. To me, if my reward for reaching godfather is an overpowered gun that lets me mow through everyone now that you can kill everyone else toe to toe for once, then I don't want godfather
I read this, and it makes sense in my head, but have you ever fought a minigunner with the intention of winning rather than surrendering and proceeding to rant?
Yes, I try to win, but this is what it boils down to usually. 1. I'm caught off guard and a minigunner spots me across map and evaporates me and takes my gear 2. I try to ambush them with the gunsen, but because it used to take 3 seconds to kill a fully armored player, they can turn around and kill me while I mid shooting and break my combo and kill me still 3. I'm using cover and trying to shift the battle towards using a rocket launcher/throwables but they use a net launcher, stun me in place, and run to a place where I'm not covered and kill me 4. I try running to near by cover but the bullets kill me before I can shotgun my way to the other side and I die mid shotgun jumping because one of these 4 scenarios happen, I'm usually have to end up running at the sight of a minigunner to not risk losing my gear. Minigunners also have a tendency to show up in teams as well. So even if I do kill them, that means they kill me before I have the chance to loot
Another solution against minigunners is having a good teammate (one you can trust). 2 SMG users kill a minigunner every time as long as they play it right. Just keep popping out of cover, unload your ammo, reload, and repeat until victory.
So what you're saying is that its impossible to counter a mini-gunner by your self. Basically, you're saying the mini-gun is overpowered. A fair gun can be countered by out skilling your opponent 1v1. By saying you need another person to try killing the minigunner, you're saying the gun it self is to overpowered to fight fairly. That response of yours only strengthens my points. Also even if you do try cheesing a minigunner with a friend, good luck trying to coordinate in the city. It's usually packed with minigunners, particularly minigunners that team in teams of 2 to 3, so pulling off a 2v1 against a minigunner while having neither of you die is nigh impossible Also, any gun can be countered with team play by two competent gunmen.
If the old minigun was enough to make a hacker leave how do you think it made the newer players feel. Miniguns will stay the way they are for now with slight adjustments
I hope you guys are receptive to potential changes to the mini-gun as well as buffing other guns so they can see more viable use, keep up the good work
This isn't what i'm saying. I'm saying, if you aren't able to kill a minigunner, then a teammate will help you monumentally.
