For years now, as many players know, our economy has been a massive problem. The amount of items and money in the economy cause PvPing to feel worthless, and the game extremely hard for new players to get started. This happened through a period of almost 10 years, where 6 different servers merged into GTM1 and multiple item and money dupes cause our economy to get worse and worse over time. Over the years, we've tried to come up with countless ideas of ways to alleviate this, but with very little effect on the overall economy. As GTA6 moves closer to release, we want to be able to foster new players, and see the server grow, due to this we will be implementing a partial wipe of items, and a full wipe of money. The wipe will remove the following items and currencies from the economy. These are the ONLY things being wiped. Everything else will be kept. Spoiler: Item Removals - All Money - All Hardware Scraps - All Guns - All Melees - All Jetpacks - All Wingsuits - All Golden Weapons - All Grenades - All Holiday Currencies - All Vehicles - All Medkits - All Armor (Not including special admin armor, like a Halloween Helmet) While we know that players who are losing a lot of money will be extremely upset at this change, we know its a change that is needed for GTM to thrive again. A shop will also be come available with limited time tags, and items costing money, that will persist after the reset. The partial wipe is planned to take place on August 7th. Evident by what its called, GTM will be clearing bans of almost all players. There will be a few exceptions for players with extreme bans, as of now that list totals about 39 players who won't have their bans cleared, which is a extremely small percent of active bans. This change will go into effect August 7th. Starting on August 7th, players who own premium houses will be required to play 1 hour of Non-AFK playtime per premium house owned. Meaning if you own 2 houses on a main house, and 2 houses on an alternate account, you are required to play 2 hours on each account each month. Failure to do so will result in your premium houses being force sold. On top of these changes, GTM will be releasing updates to go along side with these changes, one of the main ones being a huge focus on PVE, with features like Roaming NPCs, missions, and heists. This system has been in development for some time now, and is planned to release around the time that these changes to place. On August 7th, GTM will also be releasing a Summer Event, based around Sand Castles, and fishing. This will be a way for players who play directly after the reset to stock up on guns, armor and more! Cosmetics will also be returning soon after these changes take place, will fully revamped and improved Weapon Skins. Cosmetics will not be wiped, and any players who had cosmetics before the 1.19 update will have them again. If I understand correctly, non-premium and premium houses are not wiped? Does this mean that you keep the houses even after the wipe?
Yes this is correct. The items inside will be wiped if they are on the list. As for premium houses, if you sell a house you bought pre wipe, it will sell for $0.
