Dear players Due to the drop in playercount in 2018, we've decided to close down GTM 2, 3, 5 and 6. GTM 1 and 4 will stay up (and will be renamed), and we have been working on a transfer system so that you won't have to start all over again. When will this happen? We are whitelisting the closing servers as we speak. When we are done setting everything up, we will unwhitelist the closing servers and allow you to transfer your data to GTM 1 or 4. UPDATE! This will probably take a while longer. We will put GTM 6 back up first and if nothing goes wrong, the other servers should follow soon enough. After about a month, we will permanently close GTM 2, 3, 5 and 6. How does the transfer system work? You will be able to join one of the closing servers and use /transfer <target>. Your data on the target server will be replaced with data from the closing server. To be clear: you will LOSE your old data on the target server. After the transfer system, you will be banned from the closing server permanently. For example: you have 300k on GTM 2 and 500k on GTM1. You go to gtm2 and use /transfer gtm1. You now have 300k on GTM1. The 500k you had before is now lost for all eternity! What data will I be able to transfer? The following are transferred: - Permits - Ingame money & bank balance - GTMRank (e.g. Godfather) - Backpack contents - Cheat Codes - Tags The following are automatically sold: - Houses & Premium Houses & purchased Trash Cans (you will receive 100% of the buy price) - Vehicles (you will receive 100% of the buy price) The following are not transferred and as a result LOST: - Items in houses/premium houses - Houses/Premium houses - Player Inventory - More: anything that hasn't been explicitly stated will be LOST during the transfer Why will I lose everything on the target server if I transfer my progress to it? To prevent the economy from crashing, we will not allow you to 'merge' your progress on one server into the other. We know that you have worked for your money/items, but we have to do this to limit the amount of wealth circulating on the remaining servers. Why can't I transfer my houses or the items in it? Unfortunately, this is a technical limitation that we can not work around. We have taken a few measures to limit your losses. So what do I do with all the item's I've gathered over time? All items that you can buy with ingame money (non-rare weapons, armor, houses, vehicles) will be able to be sold at FULL buy price, instead of the usual 50%. Some rare items that can't normally be sold in trashcans (katana's, wingsuits, ...) have been given sell prices. See the full list and their prices here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_lRBEV7qm3opfc5xJ2QAjiQW_UAL8CP5Pk2x_gFAJXQ/edit?usp=sharing Some rare items have not been given sell prices because they are too rare/expensive to be sold. As for any items that you can't sell, you will have to transfer them using your backpack. Do NOT keep them in your inventory, your inventory does NOT transfer. How long will I be able to transfer my data? The closing servers will be up for about a month. After this period of time, all data that has not been transferred from the closing servers will be lost for eternity. Which server should I transfer to? The remaining servers are GTM1 and GTM4. We've decided to name these servers differently to accomodate the change: GTM1: GTM MineSantos GTM4: GTM Sanktburg GTM1's community consists of mostly English players, while GTM4's community is mostly German. Consider this while choosing your target server. This sucks! We've taken this measure to improve your gameplay experience, by increasing the concentration of players on the remaining servers. I'm sure you don't enjoy playing on a server with 10 people on it, and this is the only way we can fix that. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you realize that this measure will only make GTM stronger and more fun to play. Prez <3
At the moment this is not possible, however if the transfer system works as intended we may consider allowing transfers between GTM1 and GTM4 in the future.
I find it good that gtm 2 gtm 3 gtm 5 gtm 6 are closeing beacause there are only 10 Players on and it is sooo boring
I totally agree with you, that's one of the reasons we made the decision to do this. GTM 2, 3, 5 and 6 are kind of 'dead'.
Ive been so close to quitting GTM for almost 2 weeks and i honestly dont know what to do now, thanks for the wonderful updates GTM, we REALLLY REALLLLY "apreciate" them. Cant wait for what happens next!!! Gtm2 kats are worth abt 45K, market sell price. Net's are abt 10K, market sell price JP's should be abt 90K, just slightly over market sell price. I actually do have 1 question. So if you do "/transfer gtm1" on gtm2, all your items in your BP, your money, your permits will be transfered... but your money, your inv, your BP, will reset on gtm1?
Hi there Prez, Thanks for this, only thing is I have over 900 heads on GTM5, can anything be done about that, since some are worth more than 10k in the economy? Edit: I also have wingsuit, katana and fuckme cheatcode on GTM1 and GTM5, as well as the daddy tag on GTM1 and GTM5, is it possible for them to get refunded on one server? Edit2: Also, it seems really unfair that supremes can transfer more items than any other rank, is it possible to temporarily set everyone’s backpack size to supreme’s size so everyone can transfer all their items? Edit3: (A lot of edits, I know, I just want to keeps all the issues in a single reply) What about skins? Will they get transfered, or will our crowbars get refunded?
so, I have 25 permits on gtm5, and 17 on gtm1, does that mean that if I transfer my stuff on gtm5 to gtm1, I will loose my 17 permits?
Probably one the the worst ways this could of been implemented no offense. You are taking GTM1 which has the majority of the players on and then allowing for the minority of players on other servers to transfer items in. This will trash and break the semi-stable economy that has been on GTM1 in favor of 10 people who play on the deserted servers. The wipe on your balance on the server you are transferring to does nothing if you never played on it. At least add a tax on transferring items value like you only get 60% of the total value.
Are you kidding me, your joking right "Probably one the the worst ways this could of been implemented" i agree.
