If there's one thing we can all agree on, It's that Drugs are easy to make in Vice, well... for the ones that work! But I think drug making should be more sofisticated and have better rewards. Let's use Meth as an example. I am not gonna explain how Meth is made in real life, for, Obvious reasons. But in game, It should work like this: There should be two types of meth: Crystal Meth and Pure Crystal Meth Crystal meth Is standard white meth, Made using various steps and Flu or cold medicine (don't remember) That you can buy in the Pharmacy that would be made for that. Pure crystal meth Is pure Blue meth (Breaking bad reference) That is worth more and requires more steps, but more importantly: Methilamine instad of medicine. This would make Meth a more challenging drug to make but also more rewarding. This could, In my opinion, Improve the gameplay.
I like the idea alot, I also have an addition to this. Categorising drugs to, example: Brewable / Cookable / Bakeable / Craftable / Growable Brewable Alcohol, Vodka Should be stored in barrels for X amount of time, The longer it's left, the higher the return value becomes. 1 Bottle (125ml) = $10.0 For each additional hour the beer is left brewing, the price will be multiplied by 0.15 1 Bottle (125ml) brewed for 10 hours - (10.0 * (0.15 * 10) = $15) Math breakdown: <default-price> * (0.15 * <hours-brewed>) Cookable Cocaine, Crystal Meth Cooking these drugs should be time consuiming, Maybe 1 minute of furnace time would result in 0.5g. 0.5g (cocaine) = $25 1oz (28.35g) = $1,500 Being able to merge grams would be an amazing feature, Instead of a filling up a double chest of 0.5g cocaine items (1728.0 grams) This could converted into stacks of oz's to take up less space and more value. What're your idea's for the rest of the drug categories?
I like this a lot. @MrTeddeh . You have a good point, I once heard of this plugin which requires a very sophisticated method in terms of making drinks, involving brewing and distilling. If you want, I can give you the link to the plugin once I find it (unless you prefer to make your own version).
