Gtm is Dieing!

Ok, Some things ive noticed with Gtm.

1. Everyday i used to see tons of staff Welcoming players every 3 seconds, with the player count going off the charts. Now'a'days, i barely see anyone joining the server. Why? D:

2. Ive noticed recently, the Player counts have been 100- for the past few weeks. Im afraid to say so, but this server might go down, due to lack of players playing everyday.

We Have to accept, GTM is Dieing.

 

GTM is not dying at all, but because of timezone there aren't always 100+ people online. I do see many people join the server and I see many welcome messages. Your conclusion is incorrect

 

As JustNassim said timezones are a big effect on who is on. On GTM4 from Monday to Friday their is not many people on but on Saturdays their is like 150-200 people on GTM4 alone.

 

Honestly, even though certain GTMs are lacking players (at times), I'd say that GTM is growing. The amount of large youtube channels that featured GTM in recent months is incredible, I think that the problem is just that there are too many GTMs, the playerbase ends up getting evenly spread out across too many servers, a way to fix this could be to merge different GTM severs with each other (3&4, 5&6). Just an idea, but yeah, in my opinion, GTM is doing nothing but growing and getting better.

 

Merging would be a really good idea.

 

GTM isn’t dying, I think what you are comparing it to is the summer player count. This isn’t a new thing, every server significanty drops player count when summer ends.

 

Sounds like a hella good idea merging the servers together. Sounds like a clump of possible mishaps though.

 

I think you get on when people are still in school or are in a time zone with not many players

 

Great Idea I would love to have more players on GTM4 in the evening.

First. GTM isnt dying. I will explain u why.

As some ppl allready said , The different timezones are a rly big problem on mc server's.
I am 11hours per day online, and its kinda funny to see how gtm grows and is dying in 5min lmao. But honestly, u have to get a good timing. But I want to add a few more Arguments.

1st. The buildteam. As a old member of the gtm buildteam I want to say that that team is one of the bests. Idk if u saw the cinematic for the new map (which will be realsed soon) but its just breathteaking. And with these projects the bt is making many gtm players happy. New maps, NewSpawns and Hubs.

2nd. The developer team. All of our great dev team are working daily theire ass off to male gtm a better place. As u might know, gtm has 2 ip's. mc-gtm.net and mc-gtm.eu . If u are from europe u will have a 1000times better ping when u'll use the eu ip. And this feauture is also made by our great devs. If u are reading the Forum announcements u migjt have seen all these bugfixes,updates etc. And as I allready sayed. Without the Devs GTM would never be that awesome server what it is rn.

3rd. The Community/Sponsors

Without our sponsors who gave real money to that server, GTM would never been grown. All the money will go in the server organisation to make gtm a better place.

4th. Giveaways/events.

If u follow gtm on twitter u r having the chance to enter giveaways, and that if course gives many players a Motivation to play gtm

Not really sure about merging, what about people who play on both, how would that work. I believe merging would be unnecessary, because I for one enjoy the small communities, such as GTM 5 and 6, it makes playing much easier and more fun, and you really get to know the community.
