HoHoHo Tag Glitch

Instead of showing the whole "HoHoHo" in tab and on the player tag it just shows,"HoH" However, in chat it shows the full tag. It's not a matter of room because my Snowman tag puts the whole thing there and doesn't cut.

 

If I know my minecraft plugins right, I belive this is due to reaching a character limit in the TAB suffix (I believe 16 characters including colour / formatting codes). This is due to the fact the suffix works by altering vanilla scoreboards, and they have a set java limit which cannot be edited.

For example the snowman tag would be &f&lSNOWMAN (11 characters) while the HoHoHo tag would be &c&lH&2&lO&c&lH&2&lO&clH&2&lO (28 characters), which exceeds the character limit.

So there isn't a way to fix it? It'll just be messed up on my nametag/scoreboard?

 

Well it’s not really a major issue and I don’t think there is a way to fix it.

 

I would disagree, it not only affects me, but it also effects anyone else who gets it. I don't know why you would add the HoHoHo tag if you are just going to leave it broken for everything but chat.

 

I'll see if a dev can change the colour combination in the TAB menu to make it fit, however it's not currently a priority

 

It’s a simple cosmetic issue which doesn’t affect gameplay and will only even be an issue for another week. It is safe to assume this is at the bottom of the todo list and there are MANY more pressing issues.
