Newb Protection

New players who recently join Grand Theft Minecart will start with special spawn protection called Newb Protection. Newb Protection protects new players for a certain time limit in the warzone from being instantly killed, and gives them a chance to survive, gather loot, and explore the map. Newb Protection resets daily and will decrease in time as you rank up. Newb protection can be disabled by doing /pvptoggle at spawn. You can find a list of the Newb Protection daily timers for each rank below.

Will I still take fall damage in Newb Protection? Yes, you will still take fall damage while in Newb Protection.

Will I be able to pick up items in the map? No, you will not be able to pick up items in the map while in Newb Protection.

Will my Newb Protection timer go down at spawn? No, the Newb Protection timer will only go down while you are in the map.

Does my Newb Protection timer restart after I relog? No, the time will reset every new day.
