Suggestion: Give Helpers the ability to tempban for 10-60m I am a former staff manager from another server, and I know from experience that it won't hurt to give Helpers tempban permission. @DerpDr0id is on the server constantly kicking two hackers, and it would be great for all of us to have him tempban them as no Mods are on.
The reason we have helpers is so that we know if we can trust them and if they will be responsible with there permissions later on in there career as a staff member. In my opinion being a helper is nothing more then the title indicates, they are supposed to answer any questions players have as well as go out of there way to make sure rules are being followed and recording hackers. Once they have proven that they can help the server they are given more signifigent roles in the staff team. Personally i dont see helpers as staff members because of there lack of powers, most of the time they either just report something which i or another player could have done just as easily.
If anything, helpers are more a chat mod, we help people, make sure no one spams, etc. It's not our job to deal with hackers, while we do record hackers and send the recordings to mods, we don't deal with the hackers ourselves. Helper is more of a trial position to see if you are suitable for the job.
So there is not once in your entire time as a helper (I know 5 days is so long already xD) that it would not have been useful to have /tempban? Before you reach Mod, I can almost 100% guarantee that you will need /tempban
But the whole reason for helpers is a trial, yes you may need it but that does not mean you should have it.
Helpers used to be able to ban, and to put it politely, it was a shitshow. So I don’t think this will be added.
Would I like tempban? Yes, it would be great. However do I need it? No, it's not needed. As said above, it's a trial position to see if you can handle power, therefore, it shouldn't be given too much power.
