Simple title. I think it was like last year where GTM hit 1000 players online or something? I don't remember too well. But GTM is declining. I know Pres is coming out with a weapons rebalance soon, but besides that, what is being done? Some suggestions (that don't need to be followed so instead of attacking my suggestions, edit them or make new ones): - Get rid of Vice and spend that money on advertising and bringing YouTubers in - Make the voting rewards more worthwhile - Do a freaking map revamp after. The Same. Damn. Map. Gets. Boring. As. Hell. With the money of getting rid of Vice, Pres can hire a professional building team to make the map look 1) more like GTA5 and 2) make it look better Just some thought. Please make some suggestions, but esp. for the senior administration, I do want to know what is being done to MGTMGA
1. We are not closing Vice. Its a part of the server and alot of people love it. 2. We might do something like that but its not a high priority for now. 3. Uhh, all the builders we have are professional. No need to hire a new build team. If someone is not professional then it wont join the build team. GTM is great, and it always be great. We just dont have alot people playing it. And thats what we are fixing. Getting new players, and we wont get new players by closing Vice or hiring a new build team.
So what specifically are you all doing to attract new players? I was just on GTM4 yesterday and 4 people were. All of the other 3 were at spawn.
Sometimes there are less players then other times, i would like to see how the senior team is actively bringing in players though.
Then i suppose thay my server that i started a week ago and just hit 4 players for the first time is about to die... (I dont have a server)
btw, GTM rn is pretty active at the time im posting this. I just did /glist showall and on vice, there's 8 people. So no "a lot" of people do not love it. Very little people do. This is a GTA server so the GTA style should be focused on more than vice.
Vice isn't even in season right now and its attracting dozens of players daily. And yes, lots of people do love vice.
Incase you missed it, we already put vice on hold (ie) we aren’t spending any money on it. And even if we never did any development to Vice ever again it still probably wouldn’t amount to enough money to get a substantial youtuber to do one video. Vote rewards were revamped this week. We have already completed a secondary map. And closing down Vice wouldn’t give us anywhere close to what it would cost to hire a professional build team to make an entire map. Not that we would even want a professional build team because they are usually sucky at PVP additions and interiors.
“This is a GTA server”. No, this is a GTA and Vice server. And alot of people love it but most of those people dont play it since there is no season going on. Its not that difficult to understand.
Well it mustve been changed 8 months ago because I know for a fact, you got 10k for 5 votes and that was without double votes.
Vice is not actively being developed and the server costs for hosting it are negligible. New map is being worked on (coming soon) and voting rewards are on the TODO as well, though there are much higher priorities at the moment that you are not aware of.
Could we get an idea as to what those priorities are? I think that would clear up many of our questions and give us a better idea of what to suggest and what not to.
I don't want to kicked and punched, so I won't tag Pres. But what exactly are the priorities? And by a new map, does that mean a new area like Mindiana (which is NEVER POPPING), or like a BRAND NEW map?
